Personal Information

Captain Chuck is a retired corporate executive interested in providing educational services for recreational and commercial clients. He is the Vice President of the Sodus Bay Maritime Captains Association, a Past Commodore of the Sodus Bay Yacht Club, and has organized many major regattas on Lake Ontario.   He has owned and operated numerous sail and power boats. Recently, Chuck and his wife Rosemary have been cruising the ICW and Florida on their 36 ft. Sabre sailboat. He is available for personalized or group maritime instruction, sailing lessons, taxi/excursion boat driving, and vessel delivery assistance.

Experience

Over 50 years of cruising and racing experience on sailing vessels from 18' to 50'. His cruising waters include the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence River, Erie Canal, Hudson River, US Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, Leeward Islands, New England Coast, Maine Coast, Sea of Cortez and the Intracoastal Waterway. He taught US Power Squadron Sail Courses and has written and edited a Student Reference Manual for a USCG Captain's License course. Presently he is the Managing Captain for a water taxi service on Sodus Bay, Lake Ontario.
